It is situated on State Highway 39 conveniently located to many tourist attractions and a 12 minute drive from Hamilton City which boasts world class Gardens and cuisine.

Your hosts Charlie & Dianna Shailer will greet you with a warm welcome and provide a picturesque comfortable and relaxing homestay which often causes the traveller to wish they could stay longer. While at Shailers Bed and Breakfast the traveller has the opportunity to book a farm tour of the 128 hectare (318 acre) dairy farm that typifies rural New Zealand.

Accommodation

Shailers offer guests a spacious, clean, relaxing home-stay experience which includes not only a breakfast menu impossible to beat, but also restaurant quality evening meals at affordable prices. All three guest bedrooms have access to a covered north facing deck with views of colourful gardens in the foreground and rolling pastures in the background.

Dairy Farm Tours

Shailers offer informative and fun tours of two uniquely different farms and milking parlours: Shailer’s dairy farm milking 380 cows in a herringbone parlour, and Pete’s goat farm milking 1,300 goats in a revolving milking parlour. Tours are designed to suit the unique needs of our guests. Farm tours are available at 9am and 2.45pm, with pre-booking essential.
